LA JAVANAISE 2018 ; annual Jakarta Petanque Club competition, with a limited “unplugged” edition this year – 32 teams had a good competition day in  Open Triple. Thank you to all participants and specially to IFI Widjaya student from Indonesian Police schools who took up the challenge by facing much more experienced players.  See you next year !

The 48th Petanque world championship – Men – was held between 13 th and 16th september in Desbiens a small touristic village in Canada. Far from the modern world Petanque athlets from all arround the world did their best to race after the supreme world title. Saddly some countries from africa were not abble to get their visa and asian countries were not many to join. Nevertheless the competition went pretty well. Surprisingly Madagascar, the holder of Men Triple title were eliminated  in 1/8 final facing a fierce German team by the score of 13/3. After a tought 1/8 final against Belgium (13/12) an easier game against Thailand in 1/4 (13/5), nothing could be done to stop the French “Dream Team” to bring back the trophee home.

The annual Jakarta Petanque Club competition LA JAVANAISE took place last October 15-16 2016 ; A lot of fun with exceptionnal guest this year:

M Claude Azema (active president of FIPJP – International Petanque Federation) was indeed in the neigborhood with some great Petanque Players form Thailand, Monaco and France:

• Thalonengkiat Phusa-at “HONG” – 2 times Men precision shooting world champion in 2005 & 2006 and also runner up in Triple world Championship – non counting succes in Asia turnaments. (SEA games, Beach games…etc..)
• Thongsri Thatamakor  “NOK” – 5 times Women Triple world champion since first edition in 1988..and  precision shooting world champion in 2004.. and many many victories in international and asian tournaments.
• Phantipha Wongcchuvej “THAI” Phusa-at “HONG” – 3 times Women Triple world champion.(2004-2006-2009).. and also lots of victories in international and asian tournaments.
• Franck Millo – European Club champion with Monaco team in 2011
• Farid Bekrar – Junior World Champion runner up at 13 years old and French elite player.

Last October 2015 we started to publish “Kabar Boka-Bosi” a trilingual Petanque Newsletter aiming at supporting Pétanque development in Indonesia, improving clubs communication and informing all the players too.
