FOPI – Federasi Olahraga Petanque Indonesia
To date, FOPI has socialized our sport throughout the country and around 27 of the 33 provinces of the Indonesian archipelago are involved with the Indonesian Federation.
Saddly communication at management level is very poor so there is no clear update of the organisation in terms of clubs, lisences, tournament, rules, national teams …etc..
Nevertheless Petanque evolve and players are passionate about the game.
Also Petanque is now integrated in the PON games since 2018 (Indonesian Games)
Nov. 2019 – Loss of one of the main actor of Indonesian Petanque federation locally & at International level
It is with great sadness that Indonesian Petanque has lost one of its key developper since the begining of the adventure back in 2011.
Iwan Rosiydi was a very positive and comitted person, always active and took a great role in developping international links between 2011 and 2019. Even after the relocation of FOPI from Palembang to Jakarta in +/- 2016, he remainded very active and concern of Indonesian Petanque development.
We will miss our friend that will remain in our heart for ever.
